Seeds Association for Development & Culture is an educational and cultural non-governmental organisation, working to enhance the role of youth in our twin city, Nablus.
In recent years, Seeds has created a Garden of Unity in cooperation with the Samaritan community in Nablus in the courtyard of the Samaritan synagogue, which DNTA supported. On our last delegation to Nablus, we planted a tree in the garden. This was in memory of Ernie Ross, Dundee MP, who was instrumental in establishing the twinning in 1980.
Seeds has also established the only community cinema in Nablus providing a free service to residents, especially young people.
Their latest project is to refurbish their premises to design a Youth Creativity Incubator. This will provide a space to support young people in Nablus to develop their creativity and to strengthen their role in the community.
To assist with this project, DNTA has committed to donate £700.
