Fundraising success: We have received graduation reports from Reem and Suha, two of the students we helped through university in Nablus via our charity partner FONSA. They write that our support is not just financial but provides an emotional antidote to the damage from living in an escalating military occupation.

Suha writes: I am writing to sincerely thank you for the support you have given me throughout my Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery. I can hardly believe that four years have already passed, and that I am now graduating. This achievement would not have been possible without the continuous support of Witness Center.
During my studies, I always tried to give my best in order to honor this opportunity and follow my passion for midwifery and women’s health. I worked hard to remain the top student in my department, and I gained valuable experience during my clinical training in hospitals, where I was able to apply my knowledge in real practice.
Looking back, I now understand even more how important this scholarship was in my journey. During difficult years marked by war and instability, this support was not only financial help, but also a source of hope and stability. It meant that people believed in me and in my future.
Over these years, my passion for midwifery has grown even stronger. Meeting and caring for many patients during my training deeply shaped my understanding of this profession and my responsibility within it.
For my graduation thesis, I conducted the first study on endometriosis in Palestine, which was a very meaningful milestone for me and strengthened my commitment to women’s health and research.
Now that I have graduated, I feel even more motivated to continue studying and developing in this field, and to make full use of future opportunities that will allow me to grow academically and professionally.
Finally, I dedicate this degree to all the women and children I have met and those I am yet to meet, and to Witness Center and everyone involved in making me the midwife I am today.
