In December, DNTA, together with the University of Dundee Palestine Society and the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign, hosted a well-attended screening of “On Our Land”, a film by Mohamad Zwahre.
Mohamad is a 25-year-old photojournalist and human rights activist from Bethlehem. He has spent his entire life living under Israeli occupation, which has shaped his desire to help highlight the plight of his people. As a child, Mohamad witnessed the brutality of a regime that tore his grandfather from his olive groves, while systematically appropriating swathes of land for settlement.
He was inspired to document his life through a camera which became the film “On Our Land”. It’s a harrowing depiction of the consequence of occupation and military rule in Palestine.
The screening also included a Q&A with Mohamad.
The Dundee screening was part of an extensive tour of the film through towns and cities in Scotland, England and Ireland.
