Leila and the Wolves

The film Leila and the Wolves is our annual contribution to International Women’s Day to be screened at Dundee Contemporary Arts.

Leila is a London-based Lebanese woman who explores her heritage through time-travelling journeys taking her back and forth to counter a friend’s assertion that women had no role in Lebanese history.

This award-winning film is based on true stories in collective memory. It covers the long-hidden roles that women played in Lebanese history and the Palestinian resistance movement, drawing on archival footage and re-enactments.

More details and booking on the DCA web site.
There will be a collection for our contribution to the Askar Refugee Camp Medical Centre.
