The London Borough of Brent has officially voted to approve a twinning agreement with the Nablus. This marks an historic moment of solidarity, cultural partnership, and people-to-people diplomacy.
The vote at the full council meeting on Tuesday 14 May, was passed resoundingly. It met with applause across the council chamber and was welcomed by community members, campaigners and civil society groups. Brent joins a growing number of UK communities forging partnerships with cities in Palestine.
DNTA looks forward to working with our friends in the Brent Nablus Twinning Association to reinforce and enhance our solidarity with Palestine.
