In 2009, DNTA decided to strengthen its work by involving community groups in its work. A "Nablus souk experience" was planned which would enable people in Dundee's community centres to learn more about life in Nablus and to buy some products from the area.
The overall success was high with over 200 people attending and many of them listening to a talk about Nablus. The quiz was popular and the interest was demonstrated by the significant number of people joining the association.
